Lovely staff excellent food! Just the best
First impressions good but taty fritters a bit poor The chippy has now its chance to impress but soory No going back to better chipys a few miles away. We've now had four trips to the chippy all for fryday tea 3 of which we did not receive order reqested. On the last visit my dauter in law and children called for our tea . Her impersons were simler to mine. The staff should spend less time trying to be glamerus and more learning there trade. This is simple at 5 o'clock you do not expect to find empty caber nets and nothing being prep. But my main resion for not going back twice now the. Fish has not bean cleaned correctly .It's now some time sinc my last visit well thay may not have been fish cooked as it wos close to closing time this is not unexpected your asked on arvel if fish is required so it can be cooked for you. This wos good meal from staff with a pleasant atteued and good service . THIS wos avast impoverishment on my last visit and will go agen
Great Fish and Chips. The food is well cooked and not too greasy. It is cooked fresh and does not stand too long, only downside is sometimes you have to wait but it is worth the wait. If you are fancying Fish and Chips I would highly reccomand this place.
If you want decent fish and chips you just have to go into Yorkshire, dont you? And this place is excellent. They use dripping not veggie oil, so the fish (good white cod) is cooked at the proper temperature. Nice crisp batter. Lovely chips. Good sized portions too - one serving is really enough for two!
Used to go here, but not for us anymore. The owners standing out of the back door which looks like a garden party at times. The man (owner) seems to be drunk all the time and seen having a big arguments with a woman, again around the back door! It seems to be a problem when one of them have to come back inside to serve you from the little garden party.Oh yeah the food....its ok. Everything seems to have been sitting around for a long time, not fresh. If you like garden party's and old food this place is for you.Bypass this place and go to the best chippy in Barnsley 'Shaws of Dodsworth'
